General Practitioner - Director of Teaching

Play a Leadership Role in Healthcare Excellence and Education in the Top End

FCD Health is seeking Expressions of Interest from senior clinicians for two part-time leadership positions. These roles support the strategic expansion of training capacity and clinical safety across the Palmerston GP Super Clinic and the Palmerston Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

We welcome applications from professionals already working in the NT and will consider joint appointments with local partners.

Director of Teaching and Supervision (0.1 – 0.2 FTE)
Develop the Next Generation of Health Professionals
You will:
Lead clinical placements and teaching frameworks in partnership with Flinders University, CDU, RACGP, and ACRRM. Support and accredit GP supervisors and preceptors. Oversee the Teaching Plan 2026–2028. Represent FCD Health in academic forums.

Essential Criteria
FRACGP or FACRRM, current AHPRA registration.
Experience in medical education and supervision. RACGP/ACRRM supervisor accreditation (or willingness to obtain).

You will:
Chair the Safety, Quality, Risk and Governance Committee.
Oversee accreditation, infection control, and clinical incident management.
Drive clinical audit, stewardship and documentation excellence. Report on key quality indicators to the CEO and Board.

Essential Criteria
FRACGP or FACRRM, 7+ years’ experience.
Experience in clinical governance, safety and accreditation. Strong analytical and collaborative skills.
